The Best Tooth Whitener And Natural Teeth Whitening Methods

| September 2, 2010

I prefer to avoid going to the dentist at all costs. Even if everyone agrees it’s the best tooth whitener This is generally the most expensive method and the one you have the least amount of control over. You will be surprised to know that you can whiten your teeth naturally, without the use of artificial cleansers and man-made chemicals. In fact, in the Elizabethan era, about 400 years ago, almost everyone took care of their teeth with natural remedies.

The best tooth whitener didn’t come in the form of gels, pastes and the dentist certainly didn’t possess any magical powers or chemicals to whiten teeth. As a matter of fact everyone was forced to do their own dental work and taking care of their teeth was at their sole discretion. If you had the cash you could mix wine, vinegar and honey and that was the best tooth whitener for you. This is something you can do now and you can do it for under $15.

A few centuries ago, an old rag with salt and water was also used as the best tooth whitener. You might be shocked to know that in ancient times, human urine was used as a tooth whitening product! To avoid the need of whitening your teeth you can also take preventive measures. It is seen that teeth become yellow with age.

Your diet intake also plays a major role in determining your teeth shades. Some of the things that you will want to avoid include coffee, smoking, and tea. Although you may not realize it, one of the worst things for your teeth is chips and wafers. Sometimes yellowing of your teeth may also be hereditary.

If you rinse your teeth with a mixture of lemon juice and salt, 3/4 juice, 1/4 salt you should create the best tooth whitener made from natural ingredients. Other foods include cranberry juice, celery and even dark chocolate. What happens is these ingredient prevent bacteria from forming or spreading or both. One way or another it will drastically reduce the amount of bacteria found in the mouth and you won’t have to waste hundreds of dollars at the dentist.

The only problem with using these methods as the best tooth whitener is they will or will not work. It can take longer than you want for results too. If you want to whiten your teeth quickly than check out the best tooth whitener site.

Are Discount Dental Plans Worth The Expense?

| August 31, 2010

To tell the truth, there is not one good answer to this question. There are a lot of good answers and a lot of bad answers, depending on your situation and point of view.

Here’s what I mean.

If you have really great dental coverage already, a discount dental plan is worthless to you. It would be throwing money away to buy one. If you have some coverage, but not that great, a discount dental plan may actually save you money when combined with your coverage. Not always, but it CAN happen. If you have no dental coverage at all, then not having some sort of dental plan can be like playing Russian roulette.

I have a lot of friends who sell discount dental plans, and most can come up with a story about someone who held on to the info (brochure, business card, flyer) for months or even years, not doing anything about it until they had a toothache or needed dental surgery. Suddenly they rummaged through the kitchen drawer until they found the information and called the broker. The dental plan which had not been of value until then suddenly became priceless.

So, let’s accept the fact that for SOME people, not everybody, but some, a discount dental plan MIGHT be of value. Let’s see if we can find some ways to see if it’s something we might like to have, and what would be its value.

First of all, a discount dental plan is NOT insurance. In most cases, certain dentists have chosen to have themselves listed under the particular plan. In return for having their listing regularly shown to a large list of potential patients, they agree to offer reduced rates on their services.

They consider this to be a form of advertising in a way. If someone has the plan, they will look through a list of dentists which is smaller than the list in the phone book. If they like the service, they will probably bring their immediate family members in or recommend the dentist to friends or other family members.

How big are the discounts in these dental plans?

Ensure that they also floss once or more each day. If you build an oral cleanliness routine early on in life, possibilities are that they can keep it going for evermore. Protect Their Teeth From Injury you can’t stop each injury, accidents do occur. You can however forestall some wounds.

If your youngsters play sports, have them wear a mouth guard. Mouth Guards stop thousands of oral wounds each year but could stop thousands more. They need to be worn in all physical sports, not just soccer or hockey. They can be wounded just as easily in football, baseball, basketball and virtually every other sports concerning physical contact. After the age of two pacifier sucking can have a great negative effect on how their teeth come in. Create a good Diet Limit how much sugar your kid eats. Sodas and candy will eat away at your child’s teeth. Get them in the habit early of not over-indulging in sweet nibbles. Precisely How Emergency Dental Treatment Differs From Normal Dental Treatment

|

Emergency dental focuses on delivering urgent dental treatments and emergency dental care.

Phone your dental professional and describe what occurred. She or he will see you the same day. You don’t have to cope with needless dental discomfort anymore. The majority of dental offices leave breaks in their schedules to allow for dental emergencies and will work you into their schedule the same day, particularly for the more severe cases.

These are the ‘not so serious’ emergency dental troubles:

* Inflamed gums

* Abscess

* Tooth ache

* Root canal trouble

* Missing fillings

* Loose crowns

* Broken dentures

* Cracked tooth

* Cavities

* Wisdom teeth problems

* Mouth ulcers

The ‘not so serious’ emergency dental troubles are things you could still bring under control should your dental emergency come about after office hours. If you ever have toothache, loose crowns, a chipped tooth or a mouth ulcer, wait till morning and make an appointment to see your dentist to have your problem fixed, usually the same day. Meanwhile, take some pain relievers. This will help you get some short-term relief.

If you bite or grind food heavily, your tooth could get fractured and therefore generate pain when you eat or try to chew food.

A dental professional can fix a small fracture with a sanding disk or by applying a composite bonding putty.

Chipping a tooth usually means that you have broken off a little bit of enamel, but doing this is not any reason to panic. If the dentin has been exposed, the damage could cause discomfort or sensitivity to heat or cold.

Pain affecting areas of the mouth, even if minor, can suggest a severe underlying problem that may get worse as time passes. It is very important to contact a dentist as quickly as possible for a professional evaluation to minimize damage to the teeth, gums, and supporting bone.

If you have a tooth come out unexpectedly, that is a dental emergency. Care should be taken to not swallow the tooth. To stop the bleeding, bite down on a a clean wash cloth and hold it there. If the tooth can be reimplanted inside half an hour, the possibility of keeping the tooth is higher.

Toothaches are troublesome and can keep you up all night and make it tough to eat or drink. A toothache is usually the result of an underlying problem such as dental cairies, gum infection or food stuck between your teeth.

Seeing the dentist once every six months and having your teeth cleaned will definitely prevent tooth decay and gum problems and avoid the need for emergency dental care.

Dr. Xhoana Gjelaj has been practicing in the field of emergency dental treatment for quite a while and has a web-site about emergency dental treatment where you can get answers to all of your concerns.
